What you should know about Ombre Design
Ombre nail design is a gradient color effect on the nails where one color gradually blends into another. The transition can be subtle (same color family, light to dark) or bold (two contrasting colors). Ombre can be applied to natural nails, extensions, or acrylics and works with gloss, matte, glitter, or textured finishes.
How it works
Sponge technique: Color is applied to a makeup sponge and pressed onto the nail to create a blended transition.
Brush blending: A nail technician uses brushes and thin layers of polish or gel to blend colors directly on the nail.
Airbrush: An airbrush tool sprays a fine mist of color for a very smooth gradient.
Ombre powder: For dip or acrylic systems, colored powders are layered and blended to achieve the effect.
